Car got egged rant

So some good and bad luck. Last night (despite pouring rain) apparently some dumbass teenagers egged a bunch of cars. I parked on an end very close to a curb and of course (knowing my luck) I got an egg right to the windshield and it splattered all over the hood and on the side of the car. I had a test this morning so I had no time to take it to a car wash and I had school until 6. Just had it washed and the stuff won't come off and has cracked the paint in some areas.

Now for the good news. My mazda is resting and im driving my moms leased lexus at the moment and her lease is up in 2 months. I guess it doesn't really matter because im still going to have to get it repaired. Very frustrating. I had no idea egg was so degrading to the paint. Out of about 100 cars mine and a couple others were hit . . . my damn luck.

File a police report, and hopefully if you've got comprehensive, it should cover your deductible and the paint should be covered.

Egg is one of those things that royally ***** up paint quick. I've had a few stray eggs hit my cars over the years.

yea if an egg stays on a car for a bit it could ruin paint so if it happens again in the future (lets hope not) wash it ASAP

Also wat insurance company do you have cuz Steve is right its comprehensive and not collision which means your insurance wont go up and depending on what insurance u have and what coverage you have.. you might have zero $ deductable for comprehensive which would be sweet cuz that means you get a free repair (cabpatch)

yeah....eggs no bueno.....

i had an ex and her bf at the time that threw a dozen eggs at my old truck.....screwed the hood and fenders.....bad thing was i had just got out of the hospital after 2 days and sinus surgery....

Ya Ill be contacting my insurance (USAA) tommorow and filing a police report. I live in an upper class area but It was probably one of these emo punk skateboarders that I see all the time. I would rather have someone be rude to my face than mess with my property. Vandalism is just very low /: especially without reason. Thx for the advice btw.

i had my car egged a couple months ago luckily it only left one little swirl mark so im not going to bother getting it repaired but i called the cops and there was nothing they could do since there wasnt a trace of anything i really hate some people.. mine was the only car that got it too there was an identical mazda 6 in the same exact color and the same year and same everything that wasnt touched but it was probably some drunk idiots


i heard a story while i was in school about a kid in singapore that got caned for vandalizing a car, which means he got like 30 lashes with a cane i wish that was the punishment here lol
