Car bogs under acceleration when warm

Sounds like coils to me. Cuz once thr coils heat up they stop workin right my car used to do the same thing you described when it was cold it would pull hard and once it warmed up it would misfire and have no power. Try replacing coils

What have you tried since i told you its either coils or maf? Im with everyone else... more then likely coils

Coils were the most recent replacement theres no way they could be bad already. ive done maybe 500mi of driving on these brand new coil packs. ive replaced maf like 6k miles ago, egr valve like 8k miles ago, re-spliced the wiring and gave new harnesses to the wires going to the coil packs like 3k miles ago. plugs were replaced when the maf was done.

misfiring seems to happen more often when there are more ppl in the car or a/c running. regardless just myself in the car with a/c off doesnt stop the problem from occuring so this is just an observation

You can get defective parts from anywhere.... I've literally had every part that I've purchased from NAPA go bad within a couple of months including spark plug wires... I no longer shop NAPA for electrical parts. Have you cleaned your MAF with MAF cleaner? If your MAF is still under warrenty have youswitched it out at whatever parts store you purchased it from? I want to say its the MAF being that its dependant on a load from the sounds of it.

Now what makes me wounder is why did you splice into the factory harness to reterminate the coil pack portion of the harness? Have you rechecked your connections?

i ended up replacing an ignition coil and its runnin great.. thanks a bunch good call guys. workin on getting a ss afc next

Yes, that will cure the hesitation issue and will fix an a/f ratio but my problem is with the bogging. I have a hard time believing that such bogging is a result of a rich mixture. I think my a/f ratio may add to the problem, but is not entirely responsible. My issue is intermittent and is intense (to the point of requiring a tow truck because it is stalling and won't accelerate), not just annoying. Mazda can't figure it out because there is no CEL. Can a bad MAF or even bad plugs cause bogging this bad? I know bad plugs can cause a misfire and such but this is almost as if the car is on a limiter when the throttle is pressed too fast or any further than an 1/8th pressed.

My car does the exact same thing, it got so bad i had to keep it in 2nd gear and have my foot barely touching the pedal. if i shifted out of 2nd it'd bog right back down

You should run the ZFR long reach plugs but you need 5 heat range. NGK ZFR5F-11 and do not gap them they are already the proper .044" gap for a N/A protege.
