ill start off by saying i called mazda today, and they said they wanted 350$ for front and rear pads. forget that.

i read a thread months ago about someone on here found some pads that werent expensive, and didnt give off tonnes of dust. i cant find this thread for the life of me.

anyone know what one it is, or have a good suggestion for pads that wont cost me an arm and a leg.

Well, I hear EBC Redstuff or EBC Greenstuff pads were pretty good. Greenstuff runs around $90 front and $70 rear. Redstuff is a bit pricier $120 front and same price for the rear.
Hawk brake pads are also pretty popular, $80 front and $65 rear.

Those prices together for whichever pads you get are wayyy cheaper than buying em from Mazda.

yea ive been leaning towards the hawk pads.

I remember reading a thread tho where someone got a set of pads from autozone or somewhere, that were cheap, quite, and low break dust that gripped amazingly well.

Maybe i just dreamed these amazing pads up haha

DO NOT GET AUTOZONE PADS!!

they dont give off alot of dust, and they last forever, true
BUT the reason is because the pads are harder then the actual brake rotors which causes you to have to replace the rotors more often then the pads

just spend the extra money on the EBC's or Hawk, you wont regret it, i love my EBC GreenStuff Pads
