Can't break tires loose

this thread is pretty ghey, lol

Yeah, WTF is up with these people, my car won't go over 100, my car won't slide....what's next? My car rolled 50 times down a hill and hit a tree-I lived, the roof didn't collapse.... (braindead)

You guys are way too funny(monkey2) I've own both FWD and RWD so I know the handling characteristics of both in cornering. Rolling a P5? You'll probably have to slide into a curb, roll off a mountain or get creamed by an SUV. Tried the 180 with my deceased CRX protejay5; no roll. You try it with your P5 and report back to us. Video would be great.

My rear swaybar should be in next week. I'll install it after fixing my intake manifold and try that turn again at same speed and even with a little off on the throttle coming out of the turn.

but really, what the hell did you do to your intake manifold?

I fit some sweet federal 185/65/14 tires on my P5 and I can break the tires free through 4th gear. It's my favorite performance mod yet!

Yes, please let us know how you blew your intake manifold!(hear ya)

Oh, checked another thread. One of the butterfily screws fell out. Not quite "blowing" an intake manifold.

Geezz. Some people have no sense of humor. Try reading btw the lines and not so literal.

The manifold didn't really blow up. It's the common screws on the VICS loosening and getting sucked into the cylinder problem. It's so common they carry these parts at all times. Dealer wants $1245 for a new style manifold and new style fuel rail and a minimum of 4 hrs of labor. The manifold is not a repairable item. This would save us too much money and they would not make as much. But seriously, it's better business for them and better for us in the long run to have a more reliable part installed than to repair a poorly engineered part.

I'll be trying to find the screws in my exhaust for the repair this weekend. If I can't find them I'll tack weld those butterflies. Yes, I well locktite all the screws while I'm at it.

The purpose of this thread? Something to do and to rouse the righteous.

Yes you get an updated manifold and a updated fuel rail when this happens under warranty.

If you're wanting to squeal the tires, you need more low-end power. Try an underdrive pulley. For top-end power, you need to remove restriction - add an OBX or Ractive header. You'll lose the first cat, but higher-end RPM's will be better.

You still won't be able to keep up with the Kompressor. But you'll feel better about losing haha

Does the manifold flow any better? How different is it?

Hell yeah, It is a short ram with a large plenum. They figured since the VICS screws were giving them the problem they would just get rid of the system. Now it resembles the ones on the Tri-point Proteges. The only problem is it comes in bare al. only and not carbon fiber....

lol. No it's the same old crap. I couldn't find one difference by my eye. Same goes for the fuel rail.
