Canadian papers talking about banning Conan, the people are all upset.

It's all hype. Not all of us are upset. Actually, most of the people I've talked to think it's funny. I think people just can't take a joke anymore. It's media hype and it will disappear in a week just like everything else. ... I don't know if you get "This Hour has 22 Minutes" or "Royal Canadian Air Farce" in the US, but those two satires go way beyond what Conan did (and they're hilarious as hell too!!)

Edit: for those not up to speed, when Conan filmed in Toronto they did some funny stuff on Quebec separatists that was the subject of heated discussion in our parliament and has been all over the papers for the last week.

This is unfortunately the way of things in Qubec....where the average ''Jean'' is a lowly welfare pensioner and has nothing to do all day but to b**** about anyone who has a bone against Qubec and Qubecers in general... There also seems to be a hint of arrogance hanging in the air: indeed Qubec City is referred to 'the National Capital' and the Premier holds the distinctive title of 'Prime Minister'...

Being a marine engineer, my job has pretty much taken me around the world and i have seen, and worked with, many different poeples, from Filipinos to South Americans, going through Europeans and even Africans. Of all those, i find the average Qubecer to be a constantly swearing, yelling, bitching and hard to work with asshole. So much so that sometimes i wish i were born a Newfie (or at least a Jackitar; ask Newf)......Lord Dying Jesus!...

I agree, some people are just way to easily offeneded, what Cherry said was in no way descriminant, it was the ******* truth, didn't see the Conan show, but hear it was funny as hell, he probably told the truth with a twist of humour, so he's getting it for that. I'm ******* sick and tired of hearing tha damn French Canadians offended by everything, so, hey, seperate, **** off and leave the rest of us the **** alone, take the prime minister too, we'll get one that isn't a scammer. Was that descriminatory...probably in the eyes of a french seperatist...oh sorry assholes....Quebecois. I like quebec, great place, great people....for the most part, seperatist are dicks though
