Can of Matching paint?

How do I get a can of paint (spray can preferrably) that would be the same color as my car? Can I go to a body shop and have them mix me a can? Do I just need the color code?

YES...AND YES.

....

ArkosP5,

Mix and match paint is the right road. Make sure it is the same color before spraying. Somtimes those mixers (people who mix) don't really mix the correct paint. ;)

actually its very hard to mix it properly. the paint on the car fades and the new color will be different. the painting process at the factory is different than what you will be able to do at home in the garage. be prepared for the paint to be different ones you put it on.

i had a can of my emerald green metallic mx3 paint mixed and put in an aerosol can, and they mixed it correctly. looked pretty close, if not exaclty the same color as the body.(Z1)

just make sure you prep whatever surface you'll be painting very well, other wise it will bubble. use a degreaser NOT a shine cleaner(armor all)

Being that I wanted to paint interior trim pieces, I don't think the fade is going to be too much of a concern. But thanks for bringing up the point.

What are the color codes for all protege 5's? I'd like to get the color code for red and paint my calipers that color.

I just called around to a couple of body shops in the area, ... it would cost about 55/pint for Midnight blue mica, and approximately 16 for a can of spray paint, but they said they can't make a can of spray paint because of the pearl. Is there any other way?
