Can I use a LOC?

Have an 06 mazdaspeed6 with bose. I've read thru the How to's and alot of other threads with great advise on installing an aftermarket sub/amp thru the Bose factory sub wiring. I have all that down. The only thing I'm confused on is the LOC. I understand that the Bose head unit sends a 2v signal and I can buy a 1male/2female rca adapter and cut and splice, but do I have to go this route?? Can I use a line out converter I already have? Or will this cause interference? It is adjustable if that helps. Thanks.

I ended up just getting a $5 Y and doing the cut and splice. I was hoping there was a cleaner adapter from speaker wire to RCA without a converter. Haven't actually hooked it up yet, but its ready to go. Figured since no one else seems to run a LOC theres no reason to try it and mess up the sound quality.
