camera help

Um... yeah? If it's free then just get it. Why are you asking?

J/k actually it's an awsome camera but if you aren't a photographer it'll probably be a waste cuz you won't use half of the features.

The Cannon is definately better than the sony but only if you use it. They are equal as far as image quality goes but the cannon has interchangeable lenses which helps for macro and distant shots where you would need to zoom. It also has manual focus which helps a lot when there isn't enough light for the AF. There is a ton more that is better but I'm just pointing the ones out I wish my camera had.

For snapshots the one you have is more than enough. If you feel your camera is lacking anything then you might want to get the cannon.

My guess is you won't be able to tell much difference between the two and you'll kick yourself for not getting gps.

Keep in mind this is my opinion and you should do whatever you want. I like to have fancy stuff too just to have it so I know what you mean.

lol yea, i thought the image quality would be better on the canon but you are saying the are pretty much the same. On the canon I would be able to zoom much more on it then my sony right. Like when I go to hockey games and I am sitting high up and could get nice picture of the players with the canon over the sony?
