calling all miatas -->

hmm i may be wrong. but every talk of 2001 se on the miata forum say only green, but i may be wrong

bahaha, i'm going to call up there and get them to run it again. this is horse poo if it's not.

you might want to call mazda na and run it yourself. they will tell you all the options and stuff. i didnt mean to upset you or anything

it's actually possible my car was painted. just last night at the meet i spoke about my two toned car. either wrecked, or painted. also, in one of my scratches, i do noticed a strange greenish color. i thought nothing of it, thinking it just had one hell of a bad paint job.

i'm calling the dealership right now to get them to run the VIN.

why would i be upset at you? if anyone i am upset at the dealership for giving me a "phoney" car. this is a set back, yes, because if it is infact a LS i will feel completely retarded thinking this whole time it was a SE.

hahahaha. that was awesome.

so, i don't know if i should feel like a dumbass, or if they should.
"we were misinformed, sorry for the inconvenince."

i asked how they could have ran it days ago and know what the actual model was and yet still put "SE" on the papers. then i say "how can you confuse wood interior with the interior i have?" she didn't say anything. woot. back to LS i go.

I may have to get me a stubby now... damnit. Mine's an LS, and I wouldn't change a thing about it... well my PO did already install the chrome gas lid, vent rings, and gauge rings.

Funny thing is, I hated tan interiors until I drove my miata with it's leather hawtness.

i was actually looking for a black and tan , wouldnt htat have been odd, both blue masp's with black rims to black and tan miatas.

there is the website for the antenna i got. it is called the shark attack II was 37 shipped i think, and took 15 minutes to install

hey Kristin if they sold you an SE and itr wasnt. they should owe you some money back, cuz SE's are worth more.

Can someone post some links to the different years/ options the miatas had? We are looking to get a miata.. without the popup head lights.. gf says the newer rx-7 style looking one..

and I am going to need a hard top converstion.. definatly.. it rains too much here for me to trust a convertable top.

You cant just 'patch' a Miata top and if you do, you will see leaks. A factory soft top in excellent condition is just as reliable as a hard top when it comes to rain - dont waste your $$$ on hard top unless you live in north with snow or want to track the car. And you will most likely never see any rust on a Miata - the metal quality from Japan from 1989-2005 is excellent.

New soft top replacements will run anywhere from $600-$1000 installed (Robbins tops, etc) by someone who knows what they are doing.

Make sure you run the VIN to see if any of the recalls were done:

Especially the #4 throw out bearing (if this is a 1999 Miata you are looking at): http://www.miata.net/garage/tsb/tip_6_99.html

Here is a run down of all years when you are looking to buy:

Good luck.

I sold my Laguna Blue 94 R and still have my 1996 Red R package.

car has:
-custom valved Single Adjustable Konis
-Jackson Racing Midpipe (custom rear section)
-K/N drop in filter
-NGK-R plugs (SSB 2 heat range colder model)
-Nology Wires
-Racing Beat hollow front bar
-225/50-14 Kumho Ecsta V710s (racing tires) on 10.4lb hollow spoke wheels
-16x7 Rota slipstreams in Full Royal Steel finish with FK-451 Falken 215/40-16s

and thats about it. Its a stock class autocrosser so thats why the minor mods are so specific. :-)

Below is my old Laguna Blue 94 R (sold) and my current 96 R.
