Calling All Cork Sport CBE Owners...

I'm waiting on my CS (Cork Sport) CBE to come in the mail shortly...

I would like to know of any issues installing the CBE that you might have ran into. How did you uninstall the stock CBE and whether you will be saving it for future re-install for dealer trade, work, etc
How long did it take to uninstall the stocker and install the CS?

Also, how different was it from stock? Significantly louder? Does it pop now?

Anything you care to share about your experience with this CBE Oh and include whether you have a DP installed or not.

Did you feel a difference in performance; more torque, better throttle response, quicker spool, etc?

Thanks for your replies!! (2thumbs)

I'll post a review of my own when I get it!!!

Forward hangers near the mid pipe are/were squished a little, didn't line up 100%. No negatives from it at all, still fits fine. Install was done by chopping off the end piece of the stocker, as per instructions. Taking out the stocker took about ten minutes. I had issues with installing the new cat back, as the Corksport flangers are beefier, the "exhaust manifold spring bolts" didn't thread all the way. It was fixed by taking a rotozip and snicking off a single coil. Other than that mess (we went to a bunch of different places trying to find one that fit, took a few hours), it really only took about two hours with me and a buddy. I sold the stocker.

All things consider, no more than two hours. If that. We took our time as well.

Not much louder, but deeper and more authoritative/commanding. At WOT, its louder, but not by much, and again, not obnoxious sounding. At idle, it has a nice little burble, comparable to a Subaru, to some degree. It does pop every now and then, and sometimes on start up I'll get a few almost inaudible pops.

No downpipe yet, will be installing a Corksport catless mid pipe as soon as it gets here. According to Ken, it was to ship today *crosses fingers*. It looks nice, and sounds good, and its a very high quality piece, especially for the price.

Not much noticable, but yet. In a quick sprint with an intake only Speed3 and me with the CBE, I was able to pull on him a bit.

De nada.

Its an easy install, sounds sick and gives good gains, at a sweet ass price. Ken suggested it and Im happy i went with it. Thanks Ken.

Ken at PG told me I should see it in 7-10 days...
He said Cork Sport has got them in stock and should be shipping them out to him asap...

I won't hold my breath though...

Corksport told me on 3/20 mine would be ready to ship... *crosses fingers*

Keep us posted on your CBE arrival... I won't be back home till after the 26th... I'm hoping if you get yours, mine should follow...

Try to take pics and video if you can...
