I don't think so. If there was no lip it would just be too much purple and would look like s***. Much like the other painted solid wheels we have seen lately. It's simply too much. There is something called subtlety different and then there is completely over the top ugly. This falls in the first category.
In my humble opinion anyway.

I'm pretty sure the lip isnt Chrome. The is a such thing called polished Aluminum...which is tasteful

Car will go lower when I get new tires in a few months. I actually have that plate frame. LOL. It will be on for the trip. I want the old JDM EGO frame, the one that reads I <3 haters.

How do you guys feel about mag blue VOLKS? I'm already thinking about my next set of wheels. Haha.
That would depend. Powder-Puff blue, no. Dark almost black blue would probably work.

he made it clear.. "mag" blue... its a color volk uses...
Ah, that would probably look good then. I missed the Mag part. It's a nice dark anodized blue.

Looking at a set of 18x9 +40 mag blue TE37's as the next set. After EECMM I have lots of interest is these. If they go and I move my MS RAYS I might pull the trigger.
Bringing this thread back from it's BBS induce coma to say that I <3 the way these turned out.
PS.
If any of you run back to SoCalEuro and tell those boys that I actually liked the way BBS wheels looked on a car, I wouldn't hear the end of it. I can now say that I only highly dislike 99.8% of BBS wheels. WOW, just, WOW!
