If you read my last post you may have found out i like to hear peoples opinions on products they have used or using, and im basically doin research on what i should use for my car.Really all i need to know is what are you getting with the price difference. I was also wondering if anyone with injen experienced problems with check engine light.finally i know most of injens products are ram air or cold air.. is this the case for the mazdaspeed 3 version... thanks for any help at all
07 Black Mica MS3; Black mica wheels, modified exhuast and a 8 inch Bazooka = )

also if anyone has injen intake with forge or hks blow off valve i would love to have a caht with you

I hate to sa it but do a search man this has bean beaten to death and results in fights. There are more then enough points to consider if you go back and read all the threads about this.

I can save you the time and tell you to get the MS CAI but if money wasnt a big concern you would not have asked so my opinion is you are considering the savings on an Injen. This is where you will want to read up and find out what you are getting or not getting for the money.

well youll have to excuse me then.. im new to these forums and was not aware of all the previous threads... and i actually did look... some of the questions i have listed above are not answered in all these previous post... but i have one last question.. if your not in this thread to discuss the differences and help someone out then why did you post in here? i would appreciate if evryone else who post has a useful comment or opinion...thanks again

You didn't need to start a new thread. There are already threads out there on the different CAI for the ms3 so that would have been a better place to post your questions. People just get irritated by new posts that resurrect old topics. If you are new to the forum it is cool, just going over some forum etiquette.

If you have Injen questions it would be good to ask them here.

Perhaps a "useful" search would be the thing most "useful" to do. New or not I was new and read many threads before posting so I know whats going on.

So a more percise question about the products you are looking at would have been fine but asking this vs that has been beaten to death and can be searched on.

go easy on the guy. Neither intake has thrown CEL's and both are CAI's. Mazdaspeed 2 pieces, injen one piece. Mazdaspeed keeps waranty on intake, injen doesn't. Injen is cheaper though. I have the ms cai and love it.

i wasnt aware there were so many assholes on here...if your irritated by thread heres a few things you can do
1. dont post
2.eat s***
thanks for the people who actually helped...

yeah, seriously. if someone posts a new thread about an old topic, what ******* difference does it make? if you're just going to complain, ignore it and then maybe he will search. is it possible that people have formed different opinions about the questions since the last thread? maybe someone looked past the thread last time and answered the questions this time, providing useful information. it's a waste of time to flame people, honestly.

Kosh & Dread: thanks for not flaming him.
ByrdMan23: don't worry about it man. just take peoples advice as long as they give it to you nicely.
everyone else: you're a douche

btw, you will still have your factory warranty if you buy the injen, mazdaspeed or the cp-e. if the dealer's service manager is a dick, he can give you crap about either one, but he can't void anything until he can prove the intake caused the damage.

im an asshole? i was just sayin the diffrence between injen and ms...thats is why injens is alot cheaper

Your warranty will be void with any other intake other then the "factory upgrade" MS CAI. They can not say your syncros in the tranny are bad due to your Injen intake but anything having to do with filtration will void the warranty. I called 2 dealers and they said for instance coming in for a CEL that they find related to the CAI is going to make me responisble for labor charges and repairs.

Things like this can be something wrong with the engine, mass air flow sensor, ect. If you have to save the $90 the roll the dice on the cheap intake but if not and you just want to make a choice its pretty obvious what the safe thing to do is.

Mazdaspeed CAI comes with not one but TWO mazdaspeed stickers! Those are worth at least 10whp each!!

I don't really think there is any performance difference between the CAIs out on the market today. It is all better than stock and all work very well in our cars. If price is your goal I don't think quality will let you down with the cheaper products.

Yeah I agree they are probably all good performance and good quality but what I like most is the new AEM dryflow filter that comes with the MS CAI as opposed to the oiled older style filters on the others. For a boosted car not having to worry about sucking in oil to the MAF is good to have.

I would consider price vs warranty issues in making my choice. You can pay the $90 extra and have peace of mind or save that money and bet that there wont be any warranty issues that could be challeged by the dealer due to the after market part.

oh yeah. 99%: you're not going to throw a CEL with the injen. you're not going to ruin the MAF. just like you're not going to hydrolock with any of the intakes. they're all really good. personally, i bet injen and cp-e did much more testing and tuning than the manufacturers of the mazdaspeed. i've heard of CEL, knocking, fuel cut etc. with the mazdaspeed.
