CAI advantage or not?

i was thinking on adding a cold air intake to my 02 p5 (and maybe lower resistance exhaust system), but i'm unsure of the overall gains vs. the long term stress on things like piston rings ect. i guess i don't really know much about any of this so any help would be great!

lots of threads on CAIs. A CAI will not affect the engine or anything bad. It will give you 1-3 HP, thats it. Really a safe mod to do. Lots of threads about ebay, Injen, etc typs, which is best. Matter of preference to spend a lot of money for a metal tube. Get a quality air filter, you will be set.

yeah, i guess there's alot to do to go the n/a tuning way... or either i suppose... iimagine i will be waiting until spring to do anything big
