After eight years its time to move on to something else. Our new ride is a Volvo V40 Cross Country D2 diesel. Hopefully it will give us very good economy in driving compared to our Mazda 5. It's a pretty small car but we solve the lack of space (compared to Mazda 5) with a roof box when we will go on longer trips or vacations.

Nice ride. I believe the new Volvos are built on their new platform and no longer uses Ford’s old platform since the Chinese bought them. It so ironic they are more independently run, more successful, and more Swedish now than under Ford, who almost ran them into the ground. I love all Volvo wagons old and new and like what they’ve been doing lately.

Nothing like feeding the folks at home. Of course the folks at home are just the engineers and beaurocracy, since the car is probably assembled in Belgium. Good choice nonetheless. Its one of the 1st cars presented after the "0 deaths in a Volvo" commitment.

Thanks everyone! The Mazda has been a great car but there has been to many problems the last three years. Had to replace the clutch, AC compressor (twice!), exhaust, rear struts and some other suspension parts both in front and rear. Just to much money spent on the car lately. I have driven our Mazda 176000 km in eight years (bought the car brand new) and I guess the problems won't be less. Maybe I just have had very bad luck, who knows... :) I will pick up my Volvo in two to three weeks.
