Bumper Scratch Repair

The other day I noticed a 8-10" scratch on the rear bumper of my white CX-5.
I'm pretty sure it was hit by a shopping cart. Sadly the scratch went past the clear coat.

Can anyone suggest some products/methods to try and remove it? I have looked up some reviews on the scratch repair kits you can purchase at your local repair shop, but most of them are very hit or miss.
The Turtle Wax Scratch Repair Kit appears my best bet currently..

So far I have only got one quote for the repair but it was really high at $350
I'm going to keep looking, but I would rather take a stab at it myself if I can save myself some money.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I hear good things about Dr. Color chip. Friends of mine have used it and says it works.

You can't "remove" a scratch as the clearcoat and paint is removed. Any compound/polish will only remove more of what's already gone.

Dr. Color Chip will work like any other touch up. Your best bet is to touch up using a fine brush, wetsand with 2000/2500 grit sand paper to level the touch up paint, and polish sand marks.... Or have a body shop repaint.

My first step would be to use a polishing compound/scratch repair compound and a soft cloth, or even a finger, and give it a go. Be gentle!
Next wax the area to protect the surface after using the compounds, if it still is too visible for your liking, then try a DR COLOR CHIP.

The only downfall is that the CRYSTAL WHITE PEARL Paint is a pain to paint and match. So I would consider any painting or touch up paint to be a last effort.

Most scratch repairs do not work well, I have tried them all. It is best to leave it alone or have a body shop paint it.
