build-a-turbo

If you need any suggestions or help let me know. I'm in the design phase of building a custom turbo kit for my 2003 p5.

\becuase I don't see t3 turbos pushing 250hp from less the 10psi,when a proper mathed turbo,and kit will.

if you want cheap boost,it's fine.
So you'd rather have a T3/T4 setup push 250hp at 4psi and have massive amounts of lag? That makes sense. I've read 2 setups on here saying T3/T4 was too big and they downgraded and are happy with a T3. And why's it cheap, because when you buy it it doesnt come bubble wrapped and shiny?

I think his point is the exact opposite of what your saying, why buy a T3 or T4 with all that lag when you can get better turbos with less lag like the stock MSP GT25, 28rs etc

I've told you in numerous other threads the difference between an FMU and a EMS. If you still can't grasp that concept, i'd say don't even think about boosting your car until you have some of the basics figured out.
The fact that you keep posting the same basic questions over and over to people, and b**** constantly is never going to get you the answers you want. You come onto the forum, bash one of the most loyal vendors to the community. Post the same questions over and over. Then get an attitude when people are fed up with you? Grow up.
If you want to know which is a better, or if you can make a turbo kit custom. Please do a search. Because numerous peopole have done a custom kit.

thank you sir.

OMG whats going on!? Are we flaming or are we giving helpful info? :) anyways....I like cake.

Sorry I know very little about boost. so good luck.

IF you need a fmu I have one for sale.

I know you hate hearing use the search button, but it does help. You just have to look deeper in the threads. I built my own kit. Spool tubular manifold,t3 turbo, custom dp and wastepipe, Spearco intercooler, Mpi w/extra injectors, type s bov, custom intercooler piping (ebay). Just keep an eye on the for sale threads on here. You could pick some stuff up for a good price. But with a custom kit there is more hasstle of everything fitting properly and need to have shops weld, mock up, and other things. Maybe try to find a used spool or wagner kit on the boards. Stay at 6-7psi and use a Fmu for the time being. Then upgrade to ems, internals,etc...

This community helped me out alot and I learned everything about our cars from here. Just be respectful and you will get the same respect back. And I do understand the people that have been on here for years repeated the same facts everytime a new member comes along. Im still learning and they always help out.

See the reason NO ONE WANTS TO HELP YOU. I give you good advice, you have an attitude. I hope you blow your car up.

ANd youre still a jackass, whats your point. I have given you great info, that you have obviously chosen to ignore. Can you tell me the difference between a FMU and a EMS yet?

going for 6-7 psi.

If you're only going to run 6-7 psi you don't need an mbc, also I would get a wbo2 over a fuel pressure gauge. Also your getting close to the price of a kit.

Q1 Should i plan on setting the 6-7 PSI on the internal wastegate actuator? If that's the case how do you change the actuator setting?

I wanted to get the fuel pressure gauge to monitor the RRFPR.

Q2 Why would you suggest a WBO2?
thanks,
tim

Thge wideband will show you real time A/F so you know if you're running lean, and can let off the gas. The fuel pressure gauge isn't something you'll need every day.

You adjust the wastegate actuartor by adjusting the length of the actuator arm. Some are adjustable, others you need to buy an arm specific to 6-7psi. I would set the arm to the target psi that you want.
