I think the main problem that new people (young or old) come up against in this forum is they want people to answer a question just for them, even if it's been answered before. As a result, they catch s*** for asking base questions and expecting us to answer the same thing over and over. Search first, and then come in with specifics to have us fill in the details, and you'll find that we'll jump through hoops to help someone that first helps themself.
The search engine on this forum can be EXTREMELY frustrating, as it deletes "common" words and anything less than 4 letters long from your search. So if you're looking for "MSP Turbo EMS for FSDE," all that it will search for is "Turbo." It's a b**** to use and I've cursed it out a couple of times.

Slack: start with a title search (click on "advanced search") and search for "Custom Turbo." The results will let you know what others are/have been running. Also, read through the stickied threads in the FI (Forced Induction) section of our forum. There's a lot of good info there.

I understand and agree with you on what you said, but think of it this way. If you walked into a store and asked someone something they have been asked day in and day out should they flip on ya or say look for yourself. I know it can get frustrating having to answer some of the same questions over and over, maybe get a team of moderators or some people on here to come up with a FAQ for each section or have links to searchs of common questions. Make new people feel welcome, I've seen many go away because they feel unwelcomed because of asking a questions they don't know was a common question. These are just my thoughts. I've been on forums for a long while now and just observe how things go.

that reason doesn't work because the store worker wasn't explaining and recording the explanation of the subject to the person for further use. think of this place as a library. If you cant find it, then ask for help and state the info you do know so there can be more precise help. Not one big general question that can be easily answered buy searching.

So what your saying is, next time you go into advance auto (which is a store) and ask them a question about a spark plug, or oil or something so very common and they come off rude to you, you wouldn't get upset?

like I said I agree with searching first, but not everyone wants to take the time to search for hours because they can't use the thing right. Thats why i said their should be a FAQ, or commonly searched area in each section.

I wouldn't get upset, I'd just curse and dis him. But that doesn't matter cause it has nothing to do with an information bank which is what this community is. Also that is the problem with today, people want everything handed to them on a silver platter. Anyway, I'm going to go play poker so sorry I cant continue this longer. (cheers)

the searches are frustrating as pointed out. they give you anything and everything with that one key word in it that most of the time isnt relivant to anything you want. thats why i posted asking questions. the reason why i called that guy an asshole is because he came on my thread and called me a b**** in giant bold blue letters. all im sayin is if he doesnt wanna help me then he needs to stay off my thread and stop bein an asshole. i think i am justified in that accusation. if you guys are such a close knit community and you do s*** like that maybe im on the wrong forums.

Well, at least I tried.

This is not YOUR thread, this is OUR community. Said community includes you as well, and you forget that. We function as a group, not as a buch of guys who will drop everything to service your needs because you can't handle searching with different keywords. The real world doesn't cater exclusively to you, so why should we (especially when you're rude as hell to us)?

Even if you were a bit of a jerk, I felt that maybe you just got a bad start, and who doesn't deserve a second chance, right? I wrote a bunch on what you could do, empathised with you, gave you some options, and was an all-around pretty nice guy, but you just had to keep on being a badass. You're probably right: if this is the way your respond to help, then this community isn't for you.

Newsflash: what happens on the internet doesn't mean dick. If your ego is wounded by some guy joking about an issue that has already been addressed, then maybe you should reconsider what it is the defines your self-worth.

If you plan on staying, just leave this thread behind. Don't respond to me, as any Johnny Hardcore statement will ruin any credibility you still have. Instead, man-up and let s*** that doesn't mean anything slide, and then try posting again. Seriously, just let it go. I promise that life in general will get a lot easier.

Why people spend $1000+ on a turbo kit is beyond me. For the shrot time I've been around here, it seems the upgrades seem to be T3s, if so go take your box of tools to the nearest Pick-Your-Part. Go look for a xr4ti and rob the T3 60 trim off it. I got one for a mere $75, rebuild kits on ebay can be bought for $80 shipped and most turbo shops charge around $50-75 to balance the wheel. For a little over $200 you could have a rebuilt turbo. Theres how-tos all over the internet giving detailed info on how to rebuild it yourself for people who have trouble changing their own engine oil.
