Break in period

I really wanted to change mine out at 500mi but just couldn't get an opportunity! Did it at 2,000 and took a sample (that I have yet to send in lol). Then did it every 3,000 until about 15k, and now I'm doing every 5k. Changing my oil every month was starting to get old. I did 0W-30 the first time and since then I've been mixing in a quart of 5W-30. Always Mobil 1. The way I see it.. I don't care that much about gas mileage and to me, the way I drive my car... I feel better with a little thicker oil/more protection.

I'm at 5500 now, and haven't done my oil yet.... Maybe I should get on this, instead of playing GT5 and reading all night...

And yeah, it doesn't bounce off the rev limiter, I thought I broke the car the first time I hit.

Today was my second day driving the car (As of tonight it's up to 120 miles). I hit 5k twice while running on a very sexy twisty section of road I found. I know it's bad, but after driving my previous crap wagon forever I couldn't resist the temptation!

I really doubt it will hurt anything. I'm guessing that most motors are broken in after the first few heat cycles (meaning the first few times it gets up to operating temp).

Changed my oil today @ 620 miles. I'm going off the "Don't muck with it for the first 600 miles" in the manual which I take to mean it's a 600 mile break-in period. Is this thing safe to autocross/thrash about a bit now?

i bought the car and then drove from Orlando to Boston a week later. It doesn't mention this break-in method specifically in the manual, but it seemed to work well for me :)

What does it do, just creep past the limiter into infinity?

It seems too... Right after the 7000 rpm mark, there is an infinity sign standing on end. I'll see if I can find one similar to it on the intronet.
