for those running forged motor sports bpv, i have an HKS BOV and its run on VTA simply because of the bad hose kink that it creates with the recirculation fitting. any of you have this problem with the forged? i put on a RPMC turbo inlet and im just not happy with it either, its been on for two weeks and the mounting tab has broken so its kind of just chillin, im pretty sure the inlet was one of the bad batch that had come out recently. let me know guys. thanks

nope. the forge valve is a perfect fit. with the black one you almost cant tell them apart. might even fool the dealership.
i heard about the hks having a lot of fitment issues more than any other valve. did you get the cpe flange that enables you to turn it so it fits better?

Maybe a little off topic but I noticed that my stock BPV is rubbing/scraping on my hood. It has actually worn down quite a bit, enough for my to go ahead and by the Forge BPV before the stocker rubs through.

yes, it is the complete kit from PG. i just dont think the hks likes fitting properly haha. cause it either rubbed my hood or it kinked the living piss out of my recirc hose. so VTA it was.

i might be putting mine up for sale soon.

we do find that the forge fits better overall, and its hard to argue with the price. easily our best selling valve for the car.

Your stock BPV is rubbing? It should be under your TMIC cover and no where near the hood. Something is wrong, take it to the dealership.

VTA can not be good...

People buy BPV's other than the Forge for sound only. The Forge is the best but some don't like the sound. I say get the Forge and a fake BOV if it's sound you want. All to often people get something other than the Forge only to end up getting the Forge in the end.

i have the forge and there is zero fitment issues. doesnt rub on anything, no kinked hoses. bolts directly to stock and is the same exact shape of the stock bpv. i got it in black and it looks great and sounds good too.

I had the forge and got rid of it after 2 weeks, it sounds so gay IMO. I was embarassed to go hard on the car for the noise it made. I sold that bastard in a hurry. I've had the type s, type rs, forge, turbo xs hybrid, and my HKS SSQV arrives tomorrow. I am sticking with that one.

haha, yep. Atleast my opinions aren't biased, right? I've given alot of them chances and just haven't been happy. I loved the Greddy RS VTA, but recirculated, it sounded like stock, did not like it at all. Turbo xs was faulty, so I had to send it back and now getting the hks!

changin valves like underwear haha. the HKS sounds ****** sweet! even with the turbo inlet. but id rather the car be running 100% like stock than have it run how its not supossed to be run like it is on VTA. so regardless how a forged sounds im gonna go that route and try it out. once i get some money back Ken should be stoked hahahah.

Thanks for scaring me!

Half of the BPV does sit under the TMIC cover, but the larger round disc shaped half sits outside of the cover and is rubbing on some of the venting the is connected to the hood.
