BP05 questions

I am going to attempt to do a Protege BP swap into my early Miata (B6).

I know I will need a 1.8 Miata manifold, oil pan, etc etc. (got manifold last night).

Questions...
1. Main differences between 91-94 Protege BP motors and later '95-'98 are what?
No tapped oil hole in block for turbo? (no problem for me)?
No MBSP on later engines?
Later engines still have forged crank and pistons?

2. Main differences between auto and manual trans on later motors?
Same compression ratio?
Same cams?
Anything different?

THANKS!
I will be selling a intake manifold, windage tray, strainer and oil pan from a FWD BP05 REAL CHEAP to anyone who can help me out here. :)

Check flying miata. They have a conversion kit and parts ot help with the install.

If you search googel. there is a sight where a gentlman (forget the site right now). but he goes through all the diffrences fo the BP , oil line and all other little diffrences.

also if you are set on a 91-94 protege motor. Remember the 91-95 escort gt motors are th esame. But try to ge tthe laters years fo all. 94 pro, or 93-96 ford escort motors, better crank nose and better crank pulley on them!

Thanks Alien, I am doing the Flying Miata kit, but I need to choose the best Protege BP engine.

I need to know if there are differences between Protege BP engines that had manual and automatic transmissions - rumor has it that the auto trans cars had cast cranks - can someone verify?
