Bose?

This is my first post, so hello to everyone out there. And, I have been searching like no other, couldn't find an answer.

I just bought a 2007 mazda 6. I'm not sure if it has the Bose system or not. So far, everything I've read says that the non bose system has 4 speakers. 1 in each door, and thats it. The Bose system has tweeters, 4 speakers, and a sub in the rear. Well, my car has tweeters in the front, of course, the door speakers as well. But, I can not see a sub or amp anywhere in the car. Nothing hanging under the rear deck. In fact, I don't even see a sub sticking out of there. Was it possible to get the non Bose system with tweeters? did someone yank the amp out? (I bought it used of course) Just curious. It's not a big deal, as Iam going to install aftermarket components anyway.

the sub should be right above the rear seats, under the rear window...
as for the amp I'm not sure, i think there's a post somewhere that says where it is...maybe under the passenger seat?

Yea, there is a small box under the passenger seat. Didn't think it was big enough to be an amp though. As for the rear, unless the sub is sandwiched in between the top and bottom parts of the rear deck, I didn't see anything. There's not even a hole in the bottom for it.

My old (2005) 6i had the tweeters in front and it was a non Bose system. All the Bose systems also had the chrome emblem over the grille. If someone jacked the Bose system, I doubt they would have removed the emblems. If there is no hole for the sub in the rear deck, it never had one. Under the passenger seat is just a mounting unit for the NAV system. It's there if the car has NAV installed or not. Hope this helps.

Cool, That's all I needed to know. I really doubted anyone jacked the Bose out of it. Just thought it was weird that it had the tweeters. Thanks alot!
