boosting 17 psi

Hopefully when I get my boost controller and downpipe I will not notice it as much

isnt the turbo only good till about 15psi then it blows nothing but hot air into the motor. mant his guy isnt doing much good. I for see a snap crackle pop

Just because a dealership is *supposed* to do something does not mean they will. Especially for a car with this target audience. When the Mazda6 flash came out, my local dealership jumped all over it yet when the MSP came out a while before that, they hadn't even downloaded it when I took my car in for the flash. Mazda6's attract an older crowd for the most part, a crowd that doesn't get ****** around with. We, on the other hand, are a majorly younger crowd for the most part (with a few exceptions) and thusly we're not on as high of a priority. Kinda sad to say and you can start denying it all you want but it's true.

in a sense yes, after 15psi the t25 loses efficiency, basically for ever psi after 15 you aren't really gaining s***, maybe 1whp per psi, but its not worth the risk, also once you go past a certain amount of inefficiency you will lose power.

It felt exactly the same as before. Also a friend of mine with a msp went there also and it felt the same also
yeah same here. dealer even told me i didnt have the flash yet and when i did it felt the same. waste of f'in time.

btw did he pop his engine yet?

I say fugg it and let the guy run until it blows. That way we can really see what the true limit is. We've seen a few blown motors around here, but not anything we can really attribute to running high boost. Or at least not what the owners would admit.

Let the guy blow his car up, and then tell us exactly what happened when he did it. Shoot, he said he didn't care if it blew up...maybe mommy and daddy will buy him an STi or something when he does.

Not to jump back, but after the flash I felt a BIG difference...it was a nice suprise!

I also boost 9 - 10psi, and don't have a FCD. No problems to report...

17 pounds doesn't sound crazy when discreet has been running 15 on and off for quite a while. The fact that he's running 17 lbs on pump gas, fact. plugs, and I'm sure no FMIC is crazy. I would love to drive his car though. Just wont be doing that in mine.

I'm glad he's running 17 psi. It'll let us know the limit of our car. Who cares if he blows his engine? At least we'll know the limit. Keep us updated.

sorry but back to the flash.. i just got my car flashed on mon and it made a huge diff. it pulls nice and smooth through every gear. even shifting at lower rpms is nice and smooth. For all of you who said you didnt feel any diff. you should really talk to the service mgr and find out why.

So this other kid at my school has a mazdaspeed, which is kind of odd and they are both black. That's beside the point today he said he wanted to put my boost controller on his car. This kid is crazy and really didn't care much if he blew his motor. I rode in his car as he boosted 17 psi with stock everything except a 2.5 inch catback. Fuel cut was a b**** but that thing was fast as hell. He raced my friend's talon which would run a low 13 and lost by about 2 car lengths. I was amazed and convinced him to stop but he wouldn't listen. Let's see how long his motor lasts.... BTW he is flashed.
Hmmmmm.....17.......BEEN THERE ......DONE THAT.....And YES fuel cut is a BI*CH!

true but the exhaust is very restrictive and thats cause mad stress on the engine.....but good point we'll see how that lasts being stock.

If your friend is boosting 17 psi without worrying he probably has some cash. Why don't you tell him to get forged internals and start some serious moddin so we can see how fast a MSP can really be?

You should confiscate his MSP and give it to me. Preferably before the engine goes boom, but whatever works. He does not deserve that car. I would kill for a Black Mica MSP and God knows I would take care of it.

Screw helping that dumbass out it will be a good experiment, Tell him to get some race gas and boost up to 20+psi(laugh)

Hmm weird...It just felt a bit smoother around 3000 rpms...like no lag or "hesitation." But I never felt hesitation in the first place...just that it was a bit smoother.
My thoughts exactly. It was so much smoother afterwards I hated it for a while.

that's what discreetspeed, forcefed, t3ase, and some others are for. as of right now, these are some of the most powerful and fastest MSPs. yashooa has been running 12psi ever since he has gotten his car. i wonder what the status on this guy is right now
