Boostin Prob PLEASE HELP!!!!

UPDATE, checked the neutral safty switch and everythin seems to be connected.... im havin BIGGER issues right now tho.. ill post up pics and vids tonight..

if ur talkin bout the hesitation, the solution is the ssafc..

Yes thats what I am talking about.

What I want to know is if 20k, 30, 40, 60k, 80k MSP's have this issue as well?

I'n not convinced that the answer is the SSAC.

There is something that triggering the ECU then someother component to do something which creates this ill-effect.

There is no freaking way mazda would let a car go into production with it acting like this...

Thats why I am not convinced that the SSAC is the answer, there has to be a solution outside of buying the SSAC.

I do not think the car is running lean either. If it was you would hear detonation sputtering, etc.

My best guess with out a laptop that monitors everthing would be the car is either pulling timing back for some reason or MAF. But I'm not really one to be playing the "parts hanger"

pics and vids of what happend to my turbo that supposedly had 20k miles on it....

Well, I just got my SSAFC in the mail today, and I'll probably install it sometime tomorrow. I'm pretty confident that this will solve my problem. I'll keep you guys updated.

yeah......kinda strange for a 20k mile turbo to just break like that.....i have seen the turbo in person now. it wasnt starved for oil

did he know it was broken? i'de be f'in pissed man.
i bought the turbo in nov i think of last year?? idk but it was close to the end of last year, tthe car has been broke down more than on the road so the turbo has bout 22k miles on it wehn it took a hugh s***... this happend bout a week or 2 ago.. we jus finally get around to swappin another in but turns out that was blown too, so i got a refund for that turbo and now have another on the way, 10k miles on it this time. lets hope its not constapated and wants to blow up on me.. have no clue how or why this would happend but cause of it i missed a class on the 1st day of college!!! sucks

Ah ok. There was a turbo that just sold recently that had 20k on it that I almost bought. Thought maybe this was that one...

lets just hope this turbo survives. if it blows, you are obligated to by a 28rs to save the gt25s for the rest of us. ;)

any luck? I just took my car to the mazda dealer and had it flashed. I The problem is still there. sometimes it clears up but 85-90% of the time the hard severe hesitation is still there

BIG improvement. the hesitation is almost completely gone. I think I just need to tune it for my car since my msp isn't stock. (headbang) Best mod I've done to my car. Period. By the way, can anyone recommend a good/cheap serial to usb cable? And I want to get 1 step colder plugs that AREN'T copper since I don't want to be changing them every 5k miles. Suggestions?

I strongly agree, the SSAFC is the best mod I have done too. This should have been the very first thing I did to my car. I remember trying to go into boost before and I couldn't stand it, it sucked. But now with the SSAFC, I love driving even more. Smooth power throughout the entire powerband. Also, I have a Belkin USB to seral cable and a generic USB to serial cable that I got from Office Depot. and I am running NGK V power plugs 1 heat range colder than stock. numbers are ZFR7F-11

hell yea!! i felt the same!!! lmao freakin awesome mod!!! solve's ALOT!!!!

okay so update on the car.... the compression test is showin cylinder 3 down 15lbs... and leak down test was like 12-15% i think?? i don remember for sure as i was heart broken when he told me bout 2 DEEP vertical grooves in the cylinder wall.. im .040 over so the block cannot be rebuilt unless there are preformance sleeves for our cars?? it burns oil like CRAZY!!!!! and is def goin past the rings... the pressure is goin to the crank case... goin to call the shop that did my work... not to happy right now..
got pics also will post as soon as i get emm.. :'(

;( sorry to hear that man. Have to be honest though .040 is a high overbore. Why did u go with that. The general concensous is .020 is the safe. Just curious.

Edit: did u go with .040 pistons or .020 pistons and oversize rings?

well the machine shop told me i needed a .30 overbore but crossover did not offer pistons in that size wen i went to order the forged rebuild kit.. all they had was .20 and .40... so the machine shop said order the .40 and they will do a .40 overbore.. so i have the .40 overbore pistons with the rings that came with them.. I asked them bout goin .40 overbore if it was safe, they assured me that it will be okay, jus means that i cant rebuid again if need be...
