Boost Guage Wiring - Aussie Mount.

been planning the install of my boost gauge (Amber/White Premium 60mm Electric Boost gauge). What I'm wondering, especially for all of us that our getting the Gauge Pod from Mearcat, can we just wire everything but the sender wire down in the left foot-well? I hard-wired my Radar down to there and hooked it to where Mazda had tapped into for the Rear View Mirror(Must have been installed at port). I know for sure there is:

1 12v ignition wire
1 Ground (I know)

So for prosport premium gauges, we have the WHITE and the BLACK covered.

This is the wiring for a Prosport premium gauge. If we can figure this out, be allot easier then crossing the car to the fuse block, like everyone else has.

Red -Constant 12v power
Black-Ground
White-12v ignition power
Orange-headlight switch
Green Sender

So basically what I, we, need to know is, anyone know the colors of, Headlight Switched, a Constant 12V (For Peak Hold and Warning) are down by the dead pedal in the left foot-well? If we, I, (LOL) can figure this out be a really easy install and we can spend the time doing a nice under-hood install of the sender, though that seems pretty easy, I think I'm going to mount low on side of battery box.

I'll look under there tomorrow and let you guys know what wires I'm hooked into and there colors, come to think of it, the rear view may have power when car is off, not sure if you can open the garage with the car off or not if so, we only need the headlight switched.

Hope that made sense,
Tom

The constant on 12V is a red wire, slightly larger than the reset of the wires, with silver dots, two dots (I think) then a space then two dots.

I believe the left hand tail light goes in that harness. It is orange with a white stripe. It comes from the PJB fuse F81. I haven't tested this out, but the wiring book shows it.

Crossing the car is really no big deal. In fact, if you use Add-a-Fuses then you dont need to cut any stock wiring. There are 2 small kick panels next to the each side of the center console that just pop-out. You can run the wires right through the center area there. The major thing is knowing what fuses to tap into. But you already have that figured-out.

I agree but if i can not cross car i wont. I already have an IGN12v and Ground down there for my mirror and radar. The wiring is already cut just need to find the others now. Rotus has me on my way. I'm gonna test light em and see, I'll try and take some pics also, if the wires are there which Rotus has me believing they are I'll let u all know, will make for simple boost guage install.

Thanks again Rotus, great help, thanks for looking it up for me.
Tom
