I have a prosport boost gauge that hooked up a few days ago. What i noticed is that the neddle on the gauge is not steady. It moves up and down little. This is only when i leave it idle. My RPM is steady. Could it be bad wiring??? Dective B/G??? BTW I wired the Acc. and gnd to the cig. wire and i tapped the 12v to the Navigation.

No, it only does this in vac. I don't know if it's normal or not but i would appreciate for all the help. Thanks

well considering the turbo is not spooling so its just each cyl sucking air in at a different rate.
a friends boosted k20 civic's needle bounces like yours. his is mechanical. but none the less bounces, only at idle.
his car runs fine and puts down a modest 260whp and 230tq. not bad for a 2.0L VTAK!

i have yet to install a guage for my car, but honestly i myself would not worry about it. and at idle boost pressure really does not matter as your car shouldnt boost at idle anyhow lol.

Im going to assume its electrical. Slight variations are normal for the guage. now if your going from -20 to 0 pressure when it bounces then you got a issues. But if your movement is in the 1-2 pounds difference there is nothing to worry about...

i also have prosport and had this happen...what had happened was that the little nipple on the electric boost sender got so hot, due to my stupid ass mounting it too close to the engine, that it cracked and eventually broke off...sooooo i ended up getting a new one
