Boost Gauge Install Question

I have a MS3, it took me a lil bit just to figure out there doesn't seem to be a throttle cable on this car. I believe its electronically controlled. I bought a Blitz DTT DCIV turbo timer & it has a built in boost gauge but I had my buddy install it but he only does electrical so he left the boost part off. Is it easy to install that part myself & where? It says to "connect the vacuum tube to a source behind the throttle body." Without the throttle cable, I been having difficulty just trying to figure out where to install it & anyone know how? This is a first for me, I usually stick to bolt-ons. Any help???

it's super easy. the vacuum line that comes off of the bypass valve and points toward the radiator is the best spot as far as I've seen. just T into it, run the hose where you need it, and you're done.

and yes, the throttle is electronically controlled.

I'm still not too familiar with the workings under the MS3, which would be the vacuum line leading to the bypass valve? Not sure if its a small line or not but the connector that came with the turbo timer looks pretty small. How do you T into it?

look to the left of my intake, see the circular looking object just underneath the intercooler shroud(towards the front of the engine)? that's the bypass valve. there's a small vaccum hose that connects to it(on the top of the device, underneath it is the hose that runs to the intake DO NOT USE THAT, it's far too large, and won't give you any readings at all)

you need to go to o'reilly and get some vaccuum hose tubing and a t splitter. they should be willing to help you find what you need.

Cool thanks. I'm used to the term BOV, so bypass confused me. :) Thinking of replacing that later too, probably the dual port BOV from Street Unit.
