Boost & Fmic Vs Mpg

Just a few quick questions about the two. Right now i am running stock boost with a Injen short ram, vibrant exhaust, test pipe, new street clutch, new LSD. This is only a daily driver and i dont have any great plans for her but i do hate heat soak in the summer and having just a little more get up and go would be nice. Since this is a daily driver will the FMIC and running a safe 8 PSI cause me to loss fuel millage.

Also this is going to sound like a noob question but can the MSP ECU be dyno tuned or does it require a piggy back system to do so.

As i said i dont plan to go any bigger then this maybe a S pipe and a few more bolt on's down the road but i like to keep the car on the safe side and still keep her fun (evil)

no it wont hurt mpg at all. when the car is not boosting, the air fuel ratios are conservative and the car acts likes a regular 4 cylinder without a turbo.

and you need some type of engine management to tune the ecu.

Splitsecond makes a real nice piggyback system that is easy to install yourself and easy to tune. with all my mods i average 28mpg and on road trips i get 32mpg on the hightway, but i have also got like 19mpg before but that was me hitting boost every 3 secs lol.

i just got to yorktown va from wichita ks (1350mile) ad my average mpg was 37mpg this is after i installed the front mount. originally driving from va to ks my average mpg was only around 30 on the highway. since ive been here the two weeks my city only rose up to 25 from 20mpg. every mod was the same except my fmic. and mine is a home job i did in about 4 hours. albeit the damn dump trucks crossing through wv put hella rock chips in my intercooler >:(
