you should feel it when its pulling strong. it didn't feel good when you were in it. lots of extra weight etc lol

Rip that needle out for me. lol

Im trying to figure out this gobble issue. i wonder if it's bov in general
EDIT: saw u have the SSQV. they arn't adjustable. either the signal source is bad or the diaphram may be torn. both would cause it to not respond fast enough or open all the way

My hks is adjustable as well. Some of you have mentioned I have a weak vacuum source. Are you saying I should move it from the vacuum block which is from what I understand a good vacuum source where i have it located. Should I block the port it's in and run it to a line off the Intake manifold to test the source?

your source off of the vac block should be perfectly fine.. as well as taking one source from the IM..

I read today that the bov is recommended to have it's own vac source, i believe it was mods for daily driven msp. i'm going to try and adjust the bov for a bit, then i will add a hose and tfitting and then go from there.

when adjust the bov what does left and what does right do? i assume if you turn right it would close off the bov?

i modified my 626 manifold so that the wastegate, BOV, and boost gauge could have dedicated sources

worked out great

Moved my bov source to cruIse control vac fitting and moved cc line to vac block. We'll see how that works in morning

moving my vac line to mani and cruise control to vac block did not work hoping that by having an independent line the bov would open up more. I'm going to try and adjust the bov to get it to open up, if not then my next option is to get a new one or borrow one to see whats up.

on a side note i need to install my afc. 5th gear at 2-3psi i hit fuel cut i assume b/c my afr's drop to 10. time to look for a map...

I attached the map as a zip file, so you do not have to send me your email address. If it runs too lean for you, upload the super stock map and we can make the changes from there.

After speaking with JCell, I'm going to try and fix my bov first before hooking up engine management...I think it's open almost all the way since I could move the bolt by hand.

Thanks James for the MAP! Can't wait to try it out

drilled 3 holes on the manifold, tapped them out, screwed fittings on, used quiksteel to smooth and further secure fitting, painted it

i did this because my 626 manifold only had 2 vac sources, and i didn't want to run T fittings or a lot of lines from my brake booster line

last ? where did u feel was the best spots to do this?

that was the hardest part since the manifold is so thin

in between the runners where they begin. that way i could rough sand the manifold itself and the quiksteel could have more area to hold on to.

im sorry i dont have pics, i was so concentrated on the manifold and install it slipped my mind

i did the same thing...except i did it on the side of the manifold up the outside runner...worked great and plenty thick to drill and tap...no quicksteel or any s*** needed

thanks for the info, I have a 626 IM in the garage I might post some photo later for you to see if I have the right spots. Now back to the point of this thread, and thanks for the thread jack and info. wilson
