Blown Motor & Pics (56k gets pwned)

Alright, for those of you who remember....
I blew my motor on March 30th. I've been saving cash to get a new motor. I finally was able to get the cash together and I pulled my motor today with the help of my friend.

So...... here's the motor... pulled. Super-f'ing-Chuck-Norris thanks to Tony (AzMz6) from 6Club.com for the advice.

Check out these two holes in the block. TWO!!!!! Not one blow point... there are two. The motor threw two rods at the same time. Tell me it's because I didn't "change my oil." (For the new guys - MazdaUSA told me they wouldn't cover my warranty because I didn't have complete oil change records.)

Here's the picture I'm going to keep in the file for when I sell the car. For those of you who don't know me, that's my buddy Dave holdin the sign.

Good to see that you got the engine out.

I had 6 holes in my block. I need to get some pics up asap of my destruction of a block. Good luck with the car.

There are a total of 3 holes in the block one that I can fit my hand through under the turbo. There is a crack where something wqas coming out of the block. There are two dents in the oil pan from the inside going out.

Bill (rednecks_r_us)is taking pictures for me and will post them when he gets home tonight. There is no compression either. We can easly turn the crank by hand.

Yep Aaron's laptop won't read my memory card. so I'll post pictures later this evening but the video I'll put on cd for him and he can load it up here as it would take for ever on my dial up.

As for his motor FSDE stands for F-ing Stupid Destroyed Engine.

Just some of the pictures I burned onto a CD and am using Aaron's laptop.

The car has 46K miles and Mazda won't warranty it because Aaron changed his own oil and didn't have receipts. This is a bone stock MSP on stock boost.

A rod broke and went flying around in the bottom end. Aaron was at 3600 rpms in a 25 zone on his University campus. Speed bumps all over campus so speeding isn't even an option.

It even scored the crank. Pulled the intake manifold thinking maybe the VTCS screws fell and stuck a valve. But all the screws were there.

I resized the pictures down at home this morning so here are some more

wow, Mazda sucks..... I guess I better start keeping my receipts everytime i buy/ change my oil... thats crazy

Yep, they do not like to warranty these motors any more. They warned me they wouldn't cover anything engine related on my car because I changed my own oil...frequently...with Redline or RP. I even have receipts, but they said all they proved was that the oil was purchased, not that it was changed. Luckily I never needed the engine covered. What assholes.

Well!!! same crap happened to me, Mazda USA won't give me warranty on the motor! I spun #4 bearing and the car boost level is bone stock no unichip ,boost controller ect! They said the car is modded because of my JDM non VTCS intake manifold!,damage happened way before I changed the manifold! , I was showing metal debris after every oil change, no moods at all!! WTF??? It's got to be a way to fight this? because the intake manifold din't cause the bearing failure!

i had to deal with the same s***.. so i made up fake receipts of oil changes.... because honestly who the hell keeps them. so now, i spun a rod bearing on my 2nd motor which was at stock boost.... and im afraid to bring it to the stealership just because i don't want them to mess anything else up. it's really rediculous how all these motors blow, and hardly any of them get covered. and theres no reason that my 2nd motor should be messed up after like 10 or 12,000 miles...

the first time, my car was completely stock. except for appearance stuff, and they tried to say i used nitrous... or that i was going 80mph and put it into first gear or soemthing... when meanwhile i was just going into 2nd gear at like 2,000 rpm's and it popped on an onramp going onto the highway

now i have fmic, exhaust, etc.. so i don't think they would even consider fixing it.

well anyway, welcome to the list of unhappy mazda customers.. and hopefully your new motor works out good enough to drive by the dealership holding up the middle finger :)
