Noticed a puddle of oil under my left rear tire, traced it to the shock. And here I thought KYB's were supposed to be an upgrade. I have not overloaded or hauled anything remotely heavy aside from the usual vacation suitcases and what-not.

That's why you keep your receipts. IF you didn't install this set, I would recommend DIY this time. Super easy as long as you have a cheater bar and ratchet set. Save yourself on labor $$.

I did install these myself. Bought from Amazon so I went back through my order history and printed the invoice. Hopefully I'll be able to get a replacement.

Another shot of the shock after I took it off. It was completely coated in oil. When I pressed the rod down into the cylinder, more oil oozed out.

KYB's warranty says to return to original seller for verification and replacement, so I contacted the seller via Amazon to see about sending it back. They are a suspension specialty store, so hopefully they'll honor the warranty.

That's why I try not to buy wear items over the internet, I sourced my shocks for my rigs locally, that way they know I bought my shocks there. just order a replacement, and swap out after it arrives.
