Blown engine!!! MSP down

well, it seems to be a blown engine. i was getting on the freeway and i got on it. going through 4th all i hear is something like a shot and clank clank then smoke bellowing out from under my hood. sum of it all it just felt like my heart stop beating. im almost sure it is the engine that threw a rod, but i could be wrong and blew my turbo. i doubt it because i think i seen a hole on the bottom end... i didnt get a chance to look at yet, its still on the side of the freeway...im feeling its about that time to start parting out and getting back into a good ol SUV....

NEVAR GET INTO AN SUV AGAIN!!!!!! they are just not meant to be on the road man, stick with ur car man, or atleast another car, I hate SUV's, they are the sin on the road...Pickups, ok, vans, alright, SUV, no way man, unless you are using it for offroading, no...already too many of them gas guzzling buggers our there..please for the sake of all roads, stick with another car, maybe another mazda, or a nice s00bie or something...poor car though man, I hope she's not blown, just her tubro or something...poor girl, stuck on the freeway, that sucks man, I hope it's repairable or something...do you have any mods? any chance of getting it under warranty...if so, stick with ur car man...if not, just get a new block, and rebuild it forged, or go with another car...nevar an SUV(just my opinion, hope no-one takes offence to this, but to me, SUV's are a plague to the road...but alas, my opinion is my opinion, and it is not always right, as hard as that is to admit, I know for some people, and SUV is right, and for some people, they just want one, oh well, good for you, just not for me.)

intake, 10.6 psi, 2.5" DP open cutout, FCD, clutch and 9lb flywheel. thats for the engine..

god there is so much stuff running through my mind right now. i can only imagine what the cost will be.

well, if you can buy a cheap beater, that would be the best.
then you can buy a second block and either run it, or build it.

thats actually a good ideal. but my friend just sold his civic to his other friend that would have been a great car to have. i feel bad right now.

yeah how cold was it outside, running that much with a FCD is dangerous with cold temps.

there is no oil in the block thats for sure. like i said i was getting on the freeway got on it i know its was at 10.6-7 psi going through 4th then boom it sounded like stuff hitting the freeway i just started pulling over, i had it in neutral. while i was slowing down i put it back in gear to see what it would do but it wasnt a good sound i pulled it back out of gear... oil light came on obviously with no oil. and from what i could see with the flashlight was toward the left side of the block, bottom end, was freshly shreded metal i guess you could say... but i just dont really know where the damage is just yet. im about to go get it when my parents get back. i need the truck to pull it.

had you tried to start the car again ?

if the oil light came on, it could have come on after the car stalled out, or something....
you should have gotten a CEL....
