Blitz ID-3 or GReddy Profec E-01

I'm looking to buy an electronic boost controller and can't decide between these two. They are about equal in price (500$), but I think the E-01 is fairly new so I'm not sure how many people have used it. I've seem nothing but good feedback on the blitz unit, and it reads in psi, which is a plus. If anyone has any suggestions about these I would appreciate it.

I suggest the Blitz SBC-iD from experience. You can also find the controller for less then 500. I purchased my SBC-iD used from a buddy on here for 325 and the power meter for a 100 on ebay.

I have the E-01 in my Mazdaspeed and love it. I also am planning to buy e manage to interface with it. I installed the screen into the glove box with my AFC 2. The unit is easy to control and easy to program.

You got an AFC2 to work with the MSP?

Maybe I jumped the gun on this guy and I will give him a chance to explain. I just know that as much attention the fuel management situation gets, you would think that he would have said something much earlier. If I had the time and expertise to work on an AFC and happen to have gotten it to work. I would have posted pictures with a detailed description of how I did it to benefit everyone on the forum.

I have so few posts, because of the few people on the forum with their head up their ass. I will not be sharing any info because of stupid asses like this. Imagine all the info you loose out on by being stupid. I work in the Import industry and closely with Mazda. My job is building upgrades for this car, so I spend all day tearing apart this car, from the tranny to the motor to the upgraded turbo, to custom exhaust manifolds. Maybe you should think about your post before posting it.

I don't think I go a day without being called an ass. Don't hurt the forum because of me

afc to work?
why don't I believe that, the program was written off the ford program and learns itself around the afc.this was even verified by John Ready the man who wrote it!

the focus guys have been working on this for a long time.

if you have this info on how to get it to work then you should not be a prick and share it.there are a lot of people who are not asswholes that could benifit from this info.

your the type of person that would hold the secret to life and not tell anyone.just sit and watch them all rott.
for shame.

Anyways... back on topic... I just installed a Blit Dual SBC boost controller, and while i am really amazed at how great the quality is, I have a few complaints that would probably also show up on their other models. The first is the instruction manual, or lack thereof. They come in Japanese, and the translated ones still arent that much of a help. Also, the Dual SBC only does pressure in Bar, not psi. It seems like that might apply to all of the Blitz family. I don't know anything about the greddy though.

But I really have to say that I am impressed with the quality and attention to detail that the Blitz software (and hardware) has.

the SBC-ID show pressure in BAR and PSI too :)

if you're planning to use all the functions like RPM based boost control and all other bells and whistles go for the E-01. it's different from the profec-b that can just adjust gain settings and boost pressure. some people go for it simply because it's a big LCD screen or it can be used in conjunction w/ the e-manage.

the blitz is still a good unit but if i remember correctly you have to get the power meter to use the rpm based boost function? can't remember haven't taken a look at it for awhile. again, others get this merely because it's small, compact and looks cool.

both units have good solenoids for boost control and both are fairly easy to navigate through once you get the basics down.
