I hate spring with all the new growth along the highway. More places for cops to hide.
Dodged a bullet on the way in. Usually there is simply no place along this stretch of road to hide a speed trap. Normally I would have been in the third lane at about 80, but the second and third lanes were taken by a couple of plodders, and third lane was slllloooowwwwllllyyyy passing second lane, so I said, "a the hell with it" and passed on the right, which I normally wouldn't bother to do. Once around them, because the next exit was mine, I just stayed in the right lane and as I came up on a slower moving car, lifted off the gas and my cheap-o Cobra radar detector starts screaming at me as I go by a clump of overgrowth. There's a cop sitting right there. He was completely hidden.
I have to get a better radar detector, and I need to say a prayer to the patron saint of speeders.
As I said, blind, dumb luck FTW.

ya, i just took a long roadtrip from jersey to ohio, and i can personally attest that the detection range on the V1 is freakin insane. there was a cop hidden behind this shallow pile of dirt, and the V1 caught his K band from over 1/2 mile away...
