Blew my LSD today...sad.sad.sad

**** it, it was bound to happen sooner or later

now, as to replace the stupid thing

i wish i had 1500 for a new quif LSD...but that's definately out of the quetsion.

what would be a better route:

1) getting an LSD from a 626 transmission and putting it inside the msp tranny
2) replacing the whole thing altogether with a 626 tranny
3) welding the already broken LSD


i need to know which is beter and mroe cost effective...

What about purchasing a revised LSD from Street Unit for around $400? Then if need be have someone throw a weld around it for about $100.

Yea but with street unit and his price you get a welded one for $500. And I don't think it will cost $100 to weld.

If you can afford it go with ken's tranny kit because they are all new parts. Used parts could blow up at any minute.

welcome to the club. Just go with an alredy welded diff if you have someone weld it and they don't do it right you could have balance issues....

Dayymn, u werent too far behind the Broken LSD list If u get i welded, just make sure its someone who knows there s***. Just got my car back, and they did an awesome job on the weld. absolutely no vibration or noise from the LSD......silky smooth.

over the weekend, if everything goes to spec, i should have it on sunday

80 for diff and 62 for two bearings
