i bought the car for a really fair price i felt.. $5100 with 101,000 miles, no defects that im still looking for.. the guy lost his job he was in his mid 40's and barely knew how to drive a manual. so on my jorney home from chicago i was starting to play with it some more on the interstate and noticed the clutch slipping nothing to serious and a cheap fix

so far purchased parts date

I would be careful with that boost controller if I were you. On stock turbo, stock block, I'd say anything above 9psi is taking a real chance if you only have a fuel tune. I see you ordered a meth kit so I'm sure that will be a great help, but it doesn't give immunity to the motor.

I would suggest looking into some aftermarket motor mounts, or at least inserts. The vibrations kinda suck at times if you get the rear mount, but I can assure you that the car will shift and drive so much smoother without all the extra engine movement.

sweet man. got any pics of the msp? and maybe the z?

also id try to stay away from the glowshift guages.

What kind of boost gauge? Mechanical or Electronic? If it's mechanical, don't even take it out of the box because they are a waste of money.

I have a Prosport electronic boost gauge and also a Prosport wideband. They both work great after about 1-2 years of use and didn't cost an arm and a leg. Though looking back I would have gone with a nicer set like Innovate wideband, AEM or Defi boost gauge etc. because if you shop around you can find the AEM and Innovate wideband for $200, which is what I paid for the Prosport. The other two are very popular choices and I've seen nothing but good reviews.

mounts are one of the next things on my list to purchase...The vibrations in my car are beyond ridiculious depending on the RPM's, sometimes even at idle is annoying. Everyone seems to say the mounts make a big difference.. what aftermarket mounts do you recommend?

Sounds like your stock mounts are already ripped to shreds. I have an AWR front mount and the other 3 are Minerva which you can find on ebay or they have a website.

I have almost the same mount setup as Rick, passenger AWR and the other 3 Minerva. minervamotorwerkz.com in case you can't find them on ebay.

thanks guys I will look into them. Like I said in other posts I havent had the car very long, and when I bought it, I thought the vibrating was normal, at first glance the front mount looks okay, but I havent took the time to inspect the other ones. I might just replace them all anyways.. it couldnt hurt

The rear and trans mounts are the most solid of the stock mounts, they have the most rubber in them. The front and passenger have about 4mm of rubber on each side which is why they always fail. I still recommend changing them all, the rear mount isn't THAT bad to change, but it's a b****.

Im just waiting untill this weekend so that I'll have some time to further look into it and make a purchase.. Most likely I'll get all of them done. There is no point in me spending my money elsewhere for the car, when the mounts are most likely trashed. My FMIC kit should be arriving saturday according to Fedex's website. Should I hold off installing the Front mount and hardpipes until the mounts are done? I dont want to put any more strain on those mounts than there already is..and sorry to thread jack Blackwolf..

for $175.00 i got all custom 2.5" ID exhaust ran cats deleted and stock tip put back on.... its loud lol also had him weld in a o2 bung for my wide band!

so tommorows orders :)
1) insall SSAFC
2) Install Wideband
3) begin charge pipe routing
4) solder in new bov flange
5) remove oem intercooler

should be a good day

as of running boost and the manual boost controller concern im running 7psi right now ill be running the 9psi map on the ssafc when its in and forged internals next week so then much more :)

well just was digging into some ideas for routing my piping got it all figured out my coolant overflow will need to be relocated and my windsheild sprayer doesnt work anyways so that b**** is comming out in a hurry... to fit that 3ft wide intercooler i had to cut out the front support bar and cut and make my own bracket and but some support back into it as for the front bumper cover i had to cut the whole bottom piece and trim a ton to get that fool to fit right now i have to cut the crap out of the fog light cowls but it will look sexy when its done... now looking into it though i think that intercooler size was overkill lol
