Why is the tip on my exhaust black inside? I had the new tip installed on Friday and now it's completely back inside. Even the water dripping out seems black. How rich do the MS3's run?

Yeah, it'll happen the day after you leave the dealership, it's not a big problem, considering it comes off really easily.
I wouldn't say you're running too rich until you start to build up soot on your rear panels, which looks hella rice, and just all out awful.
I don't even worry about mine, hell, it's an exhaust tip, it's not supposed to be pretty.

Quit your bitching... it's not like you have a white MS3. :D

I swear... every time I go for the pre-wash wash (for brake dust), I have to manually wipe down the bumper area above the exhaust. Crap is always some sort of off-white, brown, or black.

At least with silver, it's probably only half as dirty so you don't see it. ;)

my black exhaust pipe is like a badge of honor

but you cant see any on the body....one plus of a black mica

when I had my muffler and resonator removed I has them extend the stock muffler tip outwards a bit from the bumper from the stock position so that no soot would get on the bumper or any discoloration or melting of the rear would occur.

I wish my car did not run sooo rich, but I do like the look of a black exhaust tip. I may be the one that thinks this. It kind of blends in with the rear a bit better, stealthy. I am actually considering having my exhaust tip powdercoated black. Then I wouldn't have to worry about cleaning it that often.

i have a white MS3 and before I had 100 miles on the car.....BLACK tip in side and out. Will adding a CAI help lean it out any or not a chance?

cleen it up as much as you can it sucks to clean after a month and mine has started to climb up the bodypannel
