Well my wilwoods finally came in. so i put them on tonight got them from presision brakes and well they just clear the wheels about as much brake as you can put under the stock wheels. spent about 2.5 hours working alone in my driveway to put them on. not an easy job so if your are going to do this make sure you have done brake work before. i will try and get some pics tomorrow. 13inch rotors and 4 pots . cant wait for my first track day next week.

is it tomorrow yet?? i wanna see the (pics) !!

$$how much did they set you back?$$

I think you should have waited until next week to see that you don't really need the big brake kit... but that's just my opinion. (outie)

they cost $1200.00 , may be more brake than i need but that makes me happy because my local track NHIS has zero runoff, hell even the nascar guys have died there. i rather have way too much brake then add my name to the guys who have signed the wall. pics too follow its still early on my day off..

Bill Harvey - OT but where are you from? I live just north of Concord. I plan on going to the Auto - X at NHIS on the 2nd. I know there is a driving school on the 1st but I am not an SCCA member so I can't attend. Regardless, keep your eye peeled for another Laser Blue MSP in the area.

yeah. $1200 isn't a bad deal for big brakes.
have you tested them at all? did you test your stock brakes beforehand, too?

from what i've read, although you may be applying more pressure, faster, it doesn't actually have the same stopping force (longer stopping distance)

i am from kingston, i am running with the bmw guys on the 29th. I am from the subaru world and have yet to met anyone from the mazda side, other than people who just drive them everydayand don't care about performance.

Thats a bummer, have you looked into getting a membership at the track they are building in Tamworth?

they are more for heat stability and modulation and fade resistance. threshold braking has definately improved.
