Best spark plugs for stock msp?

I'm new to this car stuff and was looking into spark plugs also. I was wondering if it is a big deal to replace our extended reach plugs with non-extended reach plugs. Are there advantages and disadvantages? I'm assuming it would probably be safest to replace the extended reach plugs with another extended reach plug, but would putting a regular plug work with no problems or maybe even better combustion?

The extented reach one's theoretically improve combustion efficiency. It's not going to hurt your car to put non-extended reach in. I have the Denso IK-22 plugs and they are not extended reach. I used to have the ZFR7F plugs in my old speed. Good plugs (I like the Densos better). I believe I did have to gap the NGKs though. The Densos come pre-gapped.

worse combustion.
my car idled rough......it also seemed like it didnt have as much power as with extended reach plugs.

i now have NGK ZFR7F-11 and they are great.

when i took out my non-extended reach plugs, they were all black. at that point they had about 5000 miles on them.
when i last checked the extended reach plugs that i have now (after 8000 miles) there were no carbon deposits on them at all.

I think that's because you had the BRK7E plugs. They are not extended reach, are not a very high-quality plug, and are cooler (You are at stock boost right?). All of that = worse combustion. I love how smooth the Denso IK22 plugs are.

Stock, get the ZFr6F-11 (6, not 7!) or IK20 if you want iridium from Denso or ZFR6FIX-11 for NGKs iridiums (I used them for a year and they are very good)

Note: they are all pre-gapped at 0.044 which is fine for stock (bigger spark)

Hold up... I thought we agreed to use a .32 spark gap? Now I gotta ask, what is the consensus? Maybe I should do a poll on spark plugs :)

I was using one step colder plugs at 9 psi and noticed heavy carbon deposits... the plug was so cold that the spark wasn't burning itself clean. What if I extend the gap?

Gap them to .032". The densos come pre-gapped to this. You can't gap the Denso iridium power plugs or you will damage them. The NGK copper plugs come gapped at .044". I gapped them down to .032".
