I have acquired a single sheet of "dynamatt" branded stuff and want to put it somewhere in the 5!

I'm not really interesting in tearing the door panels out to put it in the speaker enclosures like you're supposed to. I'm more interested in reducing road noise a little bit.

So if you only had 1 sheet, where would you put it? In the back door hatch? under the spare tire?

Thanks!

buy more, not an expert by any means, but i dont think one will make a difference anywhere

one sheet isnt going to make a bit of difference...

throw it out or buy more :p

On my "other" car i used peel and seal roofing stuff from home depot. Cheap stuff, comes with a silver foil on one side for heat, and easy to work with. its not as thick as dynamat, but i bought 6 rolls for 60.00 and double layered the cabin of a 85 mustang (firewall to under the rear seat) and single layer in the trunk. Defineitely made a difference. Didn't weigh but 45-50 lbs for all 6 rolls so, performance is unchanged. this stuff also cut down on the heat transfered from the cat up through the shifter boot, since that was where my cat was positioned.

Put it around the HVAC housing. That thing is DAMN LOUD on recirc mode when you got the fan on high.

This is a lot cheaper... in term of the price...
