ok, screw the mod list... I just thought it'd be nice to know what parts/work went into each car to make it look like it does, so we can avoid the "which hood is that, where'd you get it" crap... cut down on the banter.

Im not down for mod list. I just want to see nice cars. And anyone can enter, as long as they know whose car they are entering and have 3 Pics that best represent the car.
Can be any 3 pics, just have to all be nice.

hold off on the cleaning untill a bit later. I want to put some love into this thread, and i cant give it the attention it deserves when im at work.

Let people chat for the rest of the day, and we can get it all setup tonight.

Well, if u want, once you get it all done, you can start up a brand new page with the proper layout, and as many posts as you need for the set up, and I can just lock this one for reference.

sounds like you've got a plan.

Here are my thoughts for a setup.

First, I think this thread would best be used for 'organizational' purposes. Rather than use it to start nominating MSPs, use it to figure out how you even want the entire concept run in the first place. THEN worry about posting pictures, nominating people, and voting.

In general, the best way to do something like this is to keep it simple. The more stuff you entail, the more prone it is to looking (and becoming) a mess! So a good way might be ..

- Nominations cannot be made by the car's owner. That'd be like voting for yourself in a beauty pagent. I think it'd be spiffy to go against the MOTM in this regard. Any MSP, present or past, can be nominated.
- To nominate a MSP, post one picture of the MSP and the owner's forum name. Once a MSP has been nominated, any additional posts 'renominating' the same MSP will be deleted. Discussing nominees is fine, but duplicate nomination posts are just a waste of thread space.
- The top five (more? less?) nominees from the 'Nominee Thread' will be placed into a new thread where voting will actually take place and a poll will be created. Then .. vote! As far as how the top five nominees will be determined .. I gotta think on that.

Totally a rough outline of what's in my brain!

screw it, just let cindy do this. lol.... I say the number used for voting is determined once all nominations (give it say 2 weeks?) are made.

*Mazdas247 forum name, if the person who owns said car is a member of this forum. If not, it doesnt need to be posted.

I Know some people with MSP's that don't go on here AT ALL, or even members. So I don't think the Forum name needs to be even mentioned.

i was thinking something along those lines as well. Then have a 3rd thread where the Top Five in order would be given there own post. And have 4-6 Photos of the car from any angle. That last thread would be the Final "Best Looking MSPs"

This thread is a good idea. How about a thread with links to pics, so the people who are nominating and voting have a good resource to start with. Kinda like this in the first post of the thread.

Supman--> Link to photobucket
Outlawstar--> Link to photobucket
Justinlansdale--> Same

That way everyone has an easy access to pics of who their fave MSP is.

Or better yet, Flickr accounts because it allows higher quality photos to be used. and allows people to use them as wallpaper if need-be.

But it should be the best picture they have, then a link to all the other pictures on a album of some sort.

Ok, lets get some points down (IMO)

1. The best picture you can find, with a link to more.
2. Once every 2 months, so we can ease the overlap of the same car.
3. No entering yourself, other people may enter you, and you can supply more pictures after you have been nominated.
4. Voting will be for 1 month from when the finial people are collected.
5. There is no Min. post requirement. since you do not win anything, I dont see the point.
6. The same car CANNOT be in the the next event (if that said car won)
7. There needs to be 5-10 contestents. Once we get 10, voting will commence.

So? How you like it so far?

you plan on recycling this that often? honestly, there aren't that many new MSPs being built up...

Well I dont want it TO far appart, we could do every 4 months, and somehow we can get people to first vote for the best 5-10 within 2 months, then from there its a Open voting process.

Understand? Like everyone picks a car they think is one of the best looking ones, and from there, if your one of those nominated cars, you cant not be in the process of picking out the top 5-10 to be voted on.
I dont know what kind of system it would be to organize it though.
