Fear Factory - Cars
I love Fear Factory, that's where my screen name came from, but the cover is decent I guess. Dog Day Sunrise was decent too.

Yeah Chirs Issac kicks some ass.

311s cover of Love Song kisck some ass too.

I love fear factory's cover, but not the best...
although i cannot think of my favorite cover...
the one that dissappointed me a lot, and i really hope no one posts this as a good one, was when Metallica covered Bob Seger's Turn The Page...I loved that song and Metallica killed it...and I absolutely love Metallica, they just didn't capture the essence of that song...

Faith No More's cover of "War Pigs" kicks ass, as does their cover of the Commodores "Easy".

All Along the Watchtower: Hendrix (Org. Dylan)
Soft Cell: Tainted Love (Can't remember)
Johnny Cash: Rusty Cage (Org. Soundgarden)

I also like the Presidents of the United States of America's cover of "Video Killed the Radio Star" :D

i saw the Misfits live 2 sundays ago in Springfield Virginia (w/o Danzig-of course)
and they did the Ramones i wanna be sedated.

seen it live, gotta say-wasnt the best cover other then its shock value-but beats what ive read so far.

bleed with me

Dang...most have you people have taken the good ones. But...one of the best bands to do covers ever is Type O. Cinnamon Girl, Angry Inch, Back in the USSR...classics! I even found one of Pete Steele doing Sarah McLachlin's "Possession." Hilarity ensued...

that type o cover is pretty cool. type is funny, alot of irony in everything they do.

Ugly Kid Joe "Cats In The Cradle" - original by Harry Chapin
Guns n' Roses "Live And Let Die" - original by Paul McCartney
Whitesnake "Radar Love" - original by Golden Earring
Phish's cover of the entire Beatle's White Album, live Halloween 1994
R.A.T.M. "Maggie's Farm" - original by Bob Dylan
Red Hot Chili Peppers "Higher Ground" - original by Stevie Wonder - he BEGGED them for years before they final caved in and covered it!

That's all I got off the top of my head!

Sublime-No Woman No Cry..sure, Bob Marley made an amazing song, but Sublime did a great job taking a reggae classic written by a Musical/Lyrical genious and turned it into a nicely composed Ska/Rock song. They also did a good cover of Smoke Two Joints by Marley.

HIM - Wicked game

that is all.
Funny thing - I read the subject - and HIM was one of the first bands I thought of. Then I thought of Me First and the Gimme Gimme's cover of Elton John's Rocketman.

HIM = His Infernal Majesty - if memory serves. If you ever watched any of the CKY videos - you have probably already heard them.

Indeed, that is where I first heard of him, before they had rights to the name him in N.America and where known as her here...lol...kinda confusing I know, but long story short....not a bad band at all.
