Best CAI for the Mazda 6

Can anyone tell me in their experience what the best CAI is for the Mazda 6? My buddy is finally going to do some mods to his and I'm not up on that vehicle. Were looking for one of course that will not set a check engine light and is well made. Thanks for the info.

6i, 6s or MS6??

I have the AEM on my MS6 and no cel.

I can't speak for the 6i or 6s though...sorry.

CP-E! Best Maf location and Maf housing design.

yeah if u wanna spend 500 for an intake

injen intakes get the best gains, but because so, have a high rate of throwing a CEL

im running an AEM SRI

and i love it, the sound alone is worth the 140 i spent on it

CPE has the highest HP & TQ gains of any intake for the V6 . The prices have come down and they have never thrown a CEL. CPE is the number 1 intake for most V6 users IMHO.

I recently purchased a 6S and I've done a bit of research and it seems that CP-E is the way to go and won't mess with the CEL... That will probably be one of the first upgrades I will purchase.

The CP-E also includes a micro computer to mess with A/F and to prevent the CEL. It is expensive but their products are top notch quality.

thats the reason for the price... is it worth it? yeah.

either way it lets your engine breeeeeeeeeathe

can someone help me out and tell me what u guys think is the best cai for a mazdaspeed 6 for the price. i just got my car and want to install a cai or a short ram but idk whats really out there. i have heard of acouple but i havent found charts showing gains on some

do you now why it takes a micro computer to mess with A/F

lets think

got it yet (headshake

ok it cause your stock MAF is like 2.5" or 2.75"
the sensor in the maf is calibrated for that size inlet

the cp-e is 3" so the the ecu thinks it s in a 2.75" or so maf
and the extra ari is not meter correctly

You know you started the exact same thread as the one above it. . . you didnt even need the search button. . .

The one above it was for the regular 6's not the MS6. But searching is always a good idea. :D

Is there a short ram intake for the MS6?

where theres a CAI theres a SRI

the only difference b/w the two is that the CAI dips down to where the resonator should be, and sucks in air from that area.

I know what the difference is. I am wanting to know who sells the SRI.
