They seemed to be head and shoulders above the rest in snow traction in the latest comparison on Tire Rack.I'm not particularly looking for tires for ice, it's just that when it snow by my house, there's generally a thick layer of ice covered by a layer of snow. I'm now looking at the Continental Extreme Contact DWS. They seem to do the best in all 4 seasons, which is what I'm looking for.
There is no such thing as a tire that is good in all 4 seasons, you always have to compromise somewhere. (at least in my opinion) You are WAY better off buying one set of nice summer tires and a set of winter tires. I have had Blizzaks on my car for 3 winters (in Wisconsin) and I will never go back to "All Season" tires ever again. I've also have had BF Goodrich g-Force KDWs on my car for 2 summers and they stick like snot. Just my 2 cents.
