ok so i hit a ****** pothole an bent the outer lip on one of my 18s. not bad but you notice the rim lip isnt a perfect circle anymore? anyone have any idea what they will charge to fix this if it can be fixed and how long it may take?

If you have a NTB near you, I am pretty sure that they can fix. They send it off to some company that will make the wheel look perfect.

That's where I took my wheels and they had great turnaround time for my wheels which took only 1 day. They charged me only $100 to shave my wheels. Plus they're within driving distance of us. You have to bring the wheel to them unmounted and without a tire. There's a shop on the corner of 24th st. and fruitridge called city tire & wheel that can unmount and mount the tire for cheap. You just gotta haggle with the main guy on the front counter. They unmounted my tires and wheels for $30, all 4!

umm it depends on the material of the rim .. pretty much anything but alluminum can be fixed. esspecially sence that s pretty small ding they might be able to pound it back to place. i worked at town fair tire for three years so i know this s*** :) if its allminum your ******. you can try to get them to fix but they'll probally turn you down if not they might fOOK it up worse

Oh yah, when you get new tires after those ones maybe you should opt for 225/35s instead. The extra width should help a little. I've been hitting LA/SF/SJ/SAC potholes for a year now and haven't had any problems. The worst pothole out here is the one on northbound I-5 right before the J st. exit in the slow lane. It's a serious wheel bender if you're not careful.

you also might waht to try goin from 35's to 40's we got some killer pot holes in my neck of the woods too and the worst bends have come from rims with 35's on them im tell you 40's perform pretty much the same as 35's and it's only a little noticeable. (the thinkness)

yea man, get some 40 profiles, ive got some comming in tomorrow to battle the hell potholes of NC, and myrtle beach.

update :
