Well, I won a Belkin Auto Kit on ebay and want to use it in the Mazda3 I am getting soon. Does anyone own one of these? If so, how did you install it? Any tips on how to use it in the Mazda3?

Don't you just plug it in to your cig lighter and tune your stereo to a particular frequency?

No, he doesnt got it. The Belkin Auto Kit is not an FM transmitter. It plugs into the 12V and powers/charges the ipod. It has a 3.5mm jack for a line out cable on the unit as well...

well then you will need to refer yourself to this thread and buy the parts listed. (minus the monster icarcharger). good luck finding that maz to alp adapter though. everyone is sold out.

I thought the "Auto Kit" came with everything you needed to get your ipod over your car speaks. i.e. charger, fm transmitter, ...

But I see now that I go to their website that you have to purchase either the cassette or fm transmitter. Go figure! (hand)

belkin DOES make a "kit" that has a fm transmitter built in. unfortunatley its late and the only one i could find comes from monster. you can look at it here
i personally use the monster i car charger which has a 3.5mm jack on so when i can find a damn adapter i can go that route. as of right now i use an itrip.

Mobomelter, I found a place with the PIE adapter. For the PIE adapter, do you need to have a 6-CD Changer or is a One CD Player alright?
Thanks.

I already know that I need that cable. The link to the cable is on discountcarstereo.com or some site to that effect.

It will work with either, I have the PIE module installed with the OE MP3 player.
