Before and After photos of your Mazda

yeah you can. still youve done enough work to the apperance of the car it might be time to focus on doing something to the actually performance. after all you dont want you car to be all hat an no cowboy.

But being a guy from Texas it's always good to have a nice looking hat as well. lol but I know CAI don't do a whole lot, Springs will probably void some warranties as well as a CAI, I still have a brand new car that has a 5yr warranty (now 4) but I don't wanna mess something up and not be able to fix it. I have good hands I know what to do. I have been working on cars for a while (Audi A6, BMW6, Jeep Wrangler, Pontiac GTO, VW GLI, Chevy Avalanche and a Honda SI) I don't have a whole lot of performance mod qualification. I can probably do a good job easily, It's just Hiley Mazda might freak when I do stuff like that to my car. Even though we are good friends with several of the employes there. So it's a catch 22 on what to do.

well in that case wht you are doing makes perfect sense. Once i start my engine work all my warranties will be voided but thats ok cuz i only have like less than 2 year left on mine

Yeah plus the CAI placement in 2010+ Mazda's is really bad right in front of driver side wheel well. So it gets little to no cold air, unless someone can prove me wrong.

My 06 stock air box was drawing in air from the drivers fender well, probably the same on your car. I installed an Injen CAI that draws its air from the same area. The guy I bought it from had it in his car (an 07) the very day he bought it new and had zero problems with water and said it gave a 12 h.p increase, and improved his mileage.

Looks good 2.0t big difference it's a jaw dropper now. And biking I love the black and blue also the stance looks sexy! You know it guys I will have pics up Asap when I get the pinkness back :)

Thanks!!

You should see it in person she is B-E-A-UTIFUL!!! to bad he wants to sell her :( but its for a the greater good.

Speaking of, 2.0t03SPEED, how is the search coming for factory parts, and when are we gonna start putting them on?

lol i dont know its funny i change my mind with this car daily. Right now im in the mind set of i need to fix whats wrong with my car (body pieces, tires, wheel bearings, endlinks, bumper sag, and random rattles) and then make my decision if i still want to sell it.

Dude that's is one ****** sweet MSP!!

Thanks man i've put alot of time into it.

well that pretty much all the convincing I needed to get one.:P

Gives a nice growl also. Aword of warning, stock air box removal is a pita. Be patient, it took me about an hour and 20 min. With a couple of smoke breaks to calm down, Haha.

When you buy the CAI will it come with some sort of instructions for installation?

It should, but it is pretty straight forward. Since I got mine used it had no instructions. I also doubt a new one will have instructions for stock air box removal. I am pretty sure you can find a "how-to" though.

Just search the forums/Google how to remove the stock airbox and resonator. It can be a tiny bit difficult but once that's done, it's simple.

Thanks Hat1018 And dough boy. I'm excited to do my first performance mod! How often should you change out the air filter?

You shouldn't/don't really need to change it.
Most of the reputable intake manufacturers include an air filter that's washable.
I haven't washed mine since I put it on: ~8 months or so. Lol.
