Battery ran functions not turning off.

Not sure if this is the right section for this, my apologies if it is not.

For the last few weeks when I turn off my Mazda5 the battery ran functions do not turn off right away. It doesn't happen all the time, but when it does the dash lights, radio and clock remain on for 10-30 seconds before they shut down. Has anyone else experienced this problem and is it something I should have fixed, because it will cause other problems or is it just a weird quirk that I don't need to be worried about. I never get out of the car before it those functions turn off, just in case they don't. I don't need a dead battery.

Thanks

I agree with Awaken, it sounds like you've
got a 'hot 12 volt wire' someplace that is
touching the body of the vehicle, have you
recently installed a stereo, amp or something,
just like awaken said, check that 12 volt cigarette
lighter socket, it may have 'crossed' a wire or
something in the socket is bent causing the positive
and negative to be oh so slightly touching.

Good luck, keep us posted.

Peace!(rei)

Might be the "Smart Junction Box" Thats a ford term for the fuse/relay panel that is non-serviceable. Hopefully your car is still under warranty.
