Battery Light Problem

ok i got the problem well not exactly but i tried an alternator from another msp in my car and it worked fine no overcharging over 4k...anything so im assuming the alt is bad

IM HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM (pissed) i replaced the battery the alternator i took to a reputable alternator rebuild shop that all shops around town use and recommend then it was charging 15.0 ,they suggested a bad ground, then i replace the ground with a new wire with new terminals i even ran a new power lead to alt and now its charging 15.6 when accelarating about 3k rpm, now the tell me to take the alt out and they will bench test it , what should i ask them to test on it? or replace in it?
i also replaced both belts alt and pwr steering

i don't have an msp but im having the same problem and i switched my alt several times already i even reinforced the grounds to the battery and the block don't know what else to do?
