Not everyone has the luxury of being able to do that without looking frail and dead :D

I think the only way for a CF trunk to look decent would be if it was painted like MP5T's APC hood is painted.. paint it all except for a very small strip of CF.. or maybe paint all of it except for the indentation where the license plate is, that wouldn't be too bad. Not worth the ## unless just for the looks though.

maybe Ive changed, but after spending around 7k(which is not much compared to other guys here) on my late MSP I think its pointless to spend 4-500 on a CF trunk and another 300 something to get it painted.

No I know, unless you replace a LOT with CF the weight savings isn't quite up to par for the dollar versus just removing unnecessary interior items, but CF just looks sweet when done right. If you've got extra money to throw around but don't know what else to do it's a nice place to waste it :)

Daedalus....I was just wondering if they needed to blend the front fenders to match the hood? I ask because I got a hood I was interested in and my bodyman told me it would only match the paint if he blended to the fenders.....I don't want to touch the original paint at all.

I thought they were keeping the car out of the booth and just painting everything seperatly. I was wrong. They blended it into my front fenders and now my front fenders dont match the rest of my car in my opinion. They didnt even blend the entire fender, there is like a noticeable line where it changes color. Pretty noticeable in the shade. Its like having the entire front end not match, instead of just the lip.

I may be taking it back to be redone after all. I havent decided yet.

Daedalus....That's what I thought, I can just imagine the hassle this is beginning to be. I'm positive a professional buff will fix it. Good luck....your car looks amazing just the same!
