badge holes question

okay so i took off my mazda badge and protege badge which leaves 4 holes to fill, i snapped the plastic piece on the left protege hole but went to a mazda dealer and picked up another one to protect against rust and ordered 4 more so i can replace the other 3 original ones and have a total of 4 new fresh ones with 1 extra just in case. so here is my question, i also picked up some touch up paint while i was there and i was wondering what it would look like if i put some paint on the plastic pieces to blend them in with the cars color until i weld them shut. good idea? bad idea? tacky? i would love feed back before/if i do it. btw the plugs do not leak water. *win* any alternatives? here is a pic.

Nice work bronco. That's how I would ahve done it.

nice bronco, did you weld yourself or did you get a shop to do it? cost? how long did it take? thanks for not taking the easy route and put a cbf trunk on. looks 10 times better and its way more unique.

1+ for a slick msp my friend.

its a mp3 lol..but ya i got hit in a parking lot a few months ago, so when it was in the body shop i payed 400 extra to have the holes filled, a crease on the trunk fixed, and a dent in the drivers door fixed..well worth it...i love the badgeless look

sorry im still new to the protege way of life, mistakes will be made. great looking car none the less. kudos.
